| 内容简介（英文） | A pair of peacocks is shown in this tapestry with a background of light silk. The weaving of this tapestry is steady yet forceful and the movement of the lines is like that of brushwork. The density of the warp and weft threads is quite tight and the coloring is bright yet classical. The addition of gold threads as well as other colored threads gives the weaving of the tail feathers a particularly dazzling and opulent quality. The movements and interaction of these two peacocks are also quite elegant and realistic, making this a masterpiece of tapestry in the genre of birds. |

| 内容简介（英文） | A pair of multicolored peacocks is depicted in this tapestry against a plain background. Walking through the scene, one in front of the other, their tail feathers are displayed in a reciprocating manner. The lifelike forms capture much of the appearance and movement of this bird. The weaving here is very fine, the technique steady yet forceful as the shuttle was moved like a brush. The feathers, for example, were done in the “long and short propping” as well as “wrap propping” methods, bringing out each of the overlapping layers in both detail and order. The colors are also clearly distinguished, the skill being quite sophisticated. Gold strands have been twisted into various woven colors to create bright and sparkling hues, bringing out all the splendor and majesty of the peacock feathers in a real and naturalistic manner.
