| 内容简介（中文） | 中国古来素将「白毛」动物视为祥瑞，屡作进贡方物。乾隆年间，宁古塔将军献呈东海驯鹿于朝廷，帝命以之入图，并于幅上题写诗文。 此幅虽无作者款印，实系朗世宁（一六八八－一七六六年）所绘。朗氏乃意大利天主教会修士，早年曾习西画与建筑。二十七岁来华，以绘画供奉内廷，善画人物花鸟，尤擅犬马。此画成于乾隆十年（一七四五），朗氏五十七岁之作。 |
| 内容简介（英文） | Since antiquity, the Chinese have considered pure white animals as auspicious omens worthy of tribute for presentation to the court. In the Ch’ieh-lung era (1736-1795), the general Ning-ku-t’a offered a white reindeer from Tung-hai as tribute to the court. The emperor ordered a portrait be made, and he had his poetry of praise inscribed on it. Although this work bears no seal or signature of the artist, it belongs to the style of Lang Shih-ning (Giuseppe Castiglione, 1688-1766), a native of Milan, Italy and a novitiate of the Jesuit order. At 27, he arrived in China and soon painted for the court, excelling at figures, birds-and-flowers, and especially dogs and horses. This work was completed in 1745,when Lang would have been 57. |
| 内容简介（中文） | 依据乾隆乙丑（1745）的御题，此画为宁古塔将军进献的东海所产驯鹿。体型如牛，性情温驯，与麋鹿非常接近。从画的尺幅看来，有描绘动物原寸大小的意图，与其他郎世宁所画的骏马、骏犬等以原寸表现的作法一样。画中驯鹿的眼睛有细腻的高光处理，另外对于毛色也有微妙地掌握，特别是驯鹿脸部神情的表达，似乎也让观者能感受它的驯良可爱性格。 |
| 内容简介（英文） | According to an imperial inscription of 1745, this is a painting of a reindeer from the northeastern regions that had been sent as tribute by General Ningguta. With a body as large as an ox, it is docile by nature and closely related to the moose. Judging from the size of this painting, there was an attempt to make a life-size portrayal of the animal, which is very similar to other life-size representations of steeds and hounds by Giuseppe Castiglione (1688-1766).
