| 内容简介（中文） | 黄慎（公元一六八七－一七六八－？），字躬懋、恭寿，号瘿瓢，福建宁化人。家贫无以为生，遂学画，方十八九岁，寄身萧寺，昼为画，夜无得烛，从佛堂光明灯下读书，其艺既擅，出游豫章，历吴、越，康熙五十八年（一七一九）至扬州鬻画。为「扬州八怪之一」。 画李铁拐拈花独赏。瘿瓢作人物，运笔落墨犹如写草书，与款字相得益彰。本幅为黄君璧先生捐赠。 |
| 内容简介（英文） | Portrait of the Immortal Li T’ieh-kuai Huang Shen (1687-ca. 1768) Ch’ing Dynasty Huang Shen came from a poor family with no means of support, so he began to study painting at the age of 18. Living in a desolate temple, he painted by daylight and read at night by the candles in the temple. His art eventually became renowned, and he traveled through southern China, finally settling in Yangchow in 1719. He is known as one of the Eight Eccentrics of Yangchow. This painting is a portrayal of the immortal Li T’ieh-kuai appreciating a flower. Huang’s figure painting reveals brushwork that resembles cursive script calligraphy. In fact, the style of the painting perfectly matches the calligraphy of the artist’s inscription. This painting was donated to the Museum by Mr. Huang Chun-pi. |
